Corner Kitchen – Asheville, NC

Corner Kitchen Collage editedAubrey and I went to brunch at the Corner Kitchen in Asheville, NC.  The restaurant is located in the Biltmore Village and is a very charming historic house.   There is seating downstairs, in the sunroom, and there is also additional tables upstairs.

The menu has a nice selection of brunch items including your traditional items like waffles and omelets but they also have nice featured items like the Joe’s Chips and Biscuit “Bennies”.  This trip we got the Joe’s Chips for an appetizer and they were SO GOOD.  The chips are a variety of root vegetables as well as plantains.  Even Aubrey loved them!  For those who don’t know, Aubrey is a “selective” eater and is wary of anything not easily identifiable by him.  Aubrey had the build your own omlette (bacon and sausage) and I had the cream cheese scramble shown in the photo above.  I was so excited to dig in to my meal that I took a bite before I took the picture hence the weird bite out of the bagel.

Everything we had was delicious and fresh.  Our waiter was very friendly and took good care of us.  We will back on our next trip to Asheville!

Speed Review:

2 thumbs up.

Use Opentable to book a reservation or there is a wait most of the time.

The bathroom is located midway up the stairs.  Kind of an odd spot but the house is historic.  Go with it!

The sunroom area is lovely for lunch.

Joe’s Chips are a crowd pleaser.
